1. Is this person an expert in their field?
2. How long have they been doing permanent makeup?
3. Have they ever done regular makeup “professionally”? (You’d be surprised how few have)
4. How extensive is their education?
5. Have they updated their education and taken the advanced courses required for microblading? (Again, you’d be surprised how few have)
6. Is the pigment they’re using natural mineral pigments or are they using “ink” that would eventually fade to blue or gray?

These are all incredibly important questions to ask before you even consider allowing someone to apply makeup to your face permanently. At All Things Vain Medi Spa, you are getting an expert in her field. 25 years experience in professional makeup, and over 10 years experience in permanent makeup.
Our permanent makeup technician was a professional make-up artist in Los Angeles, New York and London, as well as here at home in Denver prior to becoming a Medical Esthetician. She worked local campaigns for top agency Donna Baldwin Talent for clients such as Clint Eastwood’s golf line Tehama, billboards for Andrisen Morton, Lawrence Covell and the Colorado Ballet. She was hired for the DNC back in 2008 and for BoB’s music video shot here for Atlantic records. She also worked for Sports Authority, Dicks Sporting Goods, Rocky Mountain Apparel, Cabelas, and many, many others. After becoming a licensed Medical Esthetician in 2007 the progression to Permanent Make-up (micropigmentation) was a natural and exciting transition for her.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of service is required to reserve your appointments, this deposit counts towards your service.
PERMANENT MAKEUP MAINTENANCE APPOINTMENTS
*Follow-Up appointment and touch-ups are as needed and are entirely optional*
4-6 weeks follow-up after treatment is $100 (This needs to be done within 4-6 weeks after initial treatment.) Many clinics and salons charge up front for this service and include it in the initial pricing, we do not. Clients move, get pregnant, forget to schedule etc. etc, so at our spa payment for follow-up is collected on the day of follow-up.
To be very clear the 4-6 week follow-up cost is as follows:
Brows $100, Eyeliner $100, Eyeliner Top and Bottom $150 and Blended lip is also $150.
As far as maintenance, you do NOT need a follow-up appointment for touch-ups done within a year. That is a one-and-done-process. However, IF you missed your initial touch-up, or you are having me cover up somebody else’s work such as ink or uneven shape, that will most likely require multiple initial follow-ups (2-3) and a follow-up after the first annual touch-up or until their work or ink is no longer visible. Ink is a larger molecule and does not pass through the body like natural pigment. Ink never goes away it simply fades over time but remains in the dermis layer. We can continue covering it up but know that there is a lot more to fixing someone else’s work than me touching up my own. I go over this with you at length at your in-person consultation, but I feel it’s necessary to have it listed here for your reference BEFORE you schedule your appointments so there is no misunderstanding of my pricing and/or the process involved in correcting someone else’s work. You will also see this information referenced on our intake forms.

6-12 month Touch-ups are $350-$375 (6-12 month touch up eyeliner top “and bottom” $450)
Annual Touch-up is by definition, a touch up at “1 year” or over. Anything over 2 years is full price

CORRECTIONS
Microblading over conventional tattoos:
*This is a semi-permanent solution to a permanent problem* We can help make a solid tattooed brow look much more natural by adding natural-looking brow strokes. This usually requires multiple touch-ups and annual up-keep. If you have a “blue” or “gray” brow or an “orange” or “purple” lip this is typically due to inexpensive pigments or actual ink tattooing. Our lead esthetician cannot remove the ink, but she will definitely make uneven brows more symmetrical and can help cover blue or purple brows, lips or liner with more natural-looking high quality cosmetic pigments. Jeanette will be honest with you about your expectations and has made many “botched” brows look better, eyeliner more natural, and lips more beautiful without invasive, risky laser treatments or painful camouflage color corrections.
Corrections are a minimum of an additional $100 charge to existing pricing. Pricing on touch-ups for permanent make-up done by another artist is determined at consultation. We do not offer extensive color-corrections, laser or tattoo removal of any kind, but we can refer you to businesses who are experts in that field.

Permanent Makeup - BEFORE and AFTER. Brows are the most important feature on our face. Brows frame your face, give you a mini eye-lift and most importantly, give you a finished look when you are completely make-up free. At All Things Vain, we do not believe that brows are "one size fits all." If you've done your research, you will notice that on other websites, every single brow is the same - no matter what the age or facial structure of the client. We customize the color, shape and technique so that each individual client leaves with the perfect brow, specifically designed just for them.
The process:
We begin your appointment by numbing the area with our Medical Grade topical numbing ointment. Once you are numb, you will continue with a consultation where we draw on the brow with the desired shape and color (pictured below, left). Then the Microblading begins and hair-like, feathered strokes are implemented into the skin with our natural pigments. After, you have a full, feathered brow that looks and feels natural. This client loved her brows so much that she came back for an eye enhancing liner to complete the look (pictured below, right).
Permanent Eyeliner
Eyeliner can be done as a very natural look; lash enhancement; we can also do more dramatic and even graphic eyeliner.
Full Pouty Blended Lip
Lip blushing is the hottest thing in permanent makeup right now! We can give you a natural pigment or a more dramatic color and as you can see we can carefully cheat the lines of the vermilion and cupid's bow to give the illusion of a fuller, more defined, beautiful lip.
